COMING SOON TO THE OFFICE . . . PAPERLESS REGISRATION!

As of September 1st, 2009, we have been integrating our office with Electronic Medical Records, known as "EMR", which will be mandatory of all health care facilities within the next 5 years. It is a rather daunting task as the staff must scan each patient's paper chart into the office computer system. It has slowed the office down a bit and my ability to get your current visit into your electronic chart causes a delay but, be assurred this office DOES NOT triple or double book appointment time slots and we never have in the past. If you feel you are not being promptly seen please know it is for the good of your health that you are waiting - relax and take a moment out of your hectic day for yourself! We are currently fine tuning our EMR so your next visit will be smooth and prompt.

Although my new location may not be state-of-the-art as far as facility is concerned, renovations have been done to provide an at-home charm while performing optimal care with the patient in mind at all times. XM Satellite Radio provides ambiance for your office visit as will some current periodicals for light reading. Also, when you enter the office, you'll find a toddlers waiting room with books, games and puzzles to keep your young ones occupied.

As a member of the medical staff at Richmond University Medical Center (the former St. Vincent's Staten Island), I can assure you that the Maternity/Newborn services at RUMC, which is a designated Regional Perinatal Center by The State Of New York, is the best in the region at what they do for you. For the past three years in a row, the maternity nursing staff has received the Johnson & Johnson Outstanding Nursing Award! The Center for Women's and Children's Health has a newly renovated maternity unit as well as 14 all-new private maternity suites, which include accomodations for the new father, all at a nominal fee - there's my plug for RUMC! Please ask me about their services.

In April 2008, I received full privledges at Staten Island University Hospital for operations and deliveries. It seems they were impressed with me, because I have accepted a position at SIUH's South Site as one of their on-call doctors, beginning July 2008. Please let your South Shore friends know of me and that I am available to them for their OB/GYN needs.
